Get Writing with the 100 Word Challenge!

Inspiration for today’s post comes from Artsy-Foxy-Gracy and Tara Roberts @ Thin Spiral Notebook. They’ve both offered the creative challenge to write 100 words (no more, no less) on a weekly prompt. This week’s word is, “write“.

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”

When we write, we bleed- if it’s soulful. The best writing comes from the murkiest depths of one’s soul to the highest peak of one’s joy. I used to think that only troubled individuals could be writers. If that’s the case, I will have to look into other avenues of writing. Perhaps I won’t ever write a novel. Maybe I’m not that kind of writer. God is my muse- my journey should be evident in the very fiber of my craft- if I’m authentic.

I’ve always been told to “write what you know.” Your writing sounds like it will be joyful.

(Thanks for joining the Challenge, I hope you come back again.)

    1. and may I add, very profound and authentic. I believe and I feel that we write because we are more in-tuned with ourselves, when we listen to the deepest of our soul and there is nothing so a-peaceful-feeling than that. Glad you had such reflections in your 100 words challenge.
